The Net Set

May 19, 2015

With the launch of Net-a-Porter in 2000, founder Natalie Massenet took luxury shopping online.

Today, luxury fashion is at the click of a finger, and with recent exceptional growth moving the mobile and social markets, its no wonder a new phase has been born.

Style.com recently announced their merger with Vogue, capturing a dream marriage between content and shopping, and now, the Net-a-Porter team want a piece of the action with a content, social and selling model.

Welcome to The Net Set, an invite-only app that aims to make shopping a truly social experience.

Users can ‘love’ products sold on the site, share photos through Instagram, check what people are buying worldwide, and of course, shop.

Move over Facebook, it sounds like our lives are about to be disrupted with Style Tribes such as ‘The Fashion Magpies’, where all that glitters is on trend; or Cool for Cats, where you’ll find Breakfast at Tiffany’s sitting alongside a shot of Julie Newmar as Catwoman.

But of course, there is no fashion venture without a famous face or 40. Enter fashion’s heavyweight sellers, comprised of street-style bloggers and social media junkies like Roitfeld, Liberty Ross, Sarah Rutson, Chloe Nørgaard, Giovanna Battaglia, Sofía Sanchez de Betak, and Gary Pepper Girl’s Nicole Warne.

Welcome to your new addiction.
